We encourage all students to connect with one of our weekly small groups. Small groups are spaces for deepening friendship, reading and studying scripture, and prayer together.
We have a weekly bible study for students which meets on campus on Thursdays from 10:00-11:00 am. We meet in the chaplains office in the UBC Life Building (Room 1303). This semester we are looking at the Gospel according to St. John.
Other small groups are a mix of students, young adults, working professionals, couples, etc.
Contact paul@stthomasmission.ca to get connected with a small group.
Traditionally, a scriptorium is the space in a monastery that is set aside for scribes to work with manuscripts. It means 'a place of writing.' Our Scriptorium is located in the basement of University Chapel and is a center for study and hospitality. Come by and enjoy a cup of coffee or tea while working on your next assignment or reading a good book.
Open Study hours are Wednesdays and Thursdays from 12-4:30pm during the Fall 2022 term.
We also host lectures, reading groups, film nights and other events in The Scriptorium.
Wednesday and Friday 12-5pm
Curated panel conversations on topics at the intersections of Christian faith, spiritual formation, culture, etc.
